ADMINISTRATIVE & FACILITY SUPPORT

Receptionist: Performs clerical functions such as answering phones, copying and filing, typing, greeting and receiving clients, and other duties as needed.

Office Maintenance & Groundskeeper: Keeps facilities in clean and orderly condition. Performs heavy cleaning duties such as painting, cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Performs routine maintenance activities and notifies management when repairs are needed. Also cleans debris from sidewalk, maintains lawn, and other duties when needed.

Network Administrator: Repairs and reforms unplanned events that adversely affect the network or computing environment. Ensures hardware, software, and network upgrades, installs, re-installs, changes and relocations are efficiently completed as required. Plans and implements network security, including setting up firewalls, managing host security, applying cryptography to network applications, and regulating file permissions. Provides orientation and training to new volunteers and staff.

Database Administrator: Develops, implements, and maintains computer database system containing client and funder information. Recovers lost computer data and or corrupted data. Ensures integrity and security of all data collected. Provides orientation and training to new volunteers and staff.

Communications Coordinator: Designs, publishes, and distributes monthly, quarterly, and annual newsletters; assists with assembling and disseminating bulk mail and special events correspondence.

Data Entry Clerk: Enters client level data into database and compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

CLIENT SERVICES & EDUCATION

Crisis Intervention Counselor: Provides crisis intervention counseling to women. Volunteer may counsel women about pregnancy termination, adoption, parenting, abstinence, grief, and other life circumstances as needed. Shares the Gospel with each client. Volunteer hours involve at least four consecutive hours of service per week.

Material Support Coordinator: Maintains clothes closet inventory. Supervises donations and distribution of diapers, formula, maternity and baby clothes, and other related baby items. Volunteer may also solicit additional items for the clothes closet as needed.

Prenatal & Parenting Education Facilitator: Facilitates a 6 week “Earn While you Learn” parenting and prenatal development class. Coordinates baby shower for class participants upon course completion.

Childbirth Class Instructor: Certified Childbirth Educator or nurse with childbirth experience teaches a 6-8 week Lamaze course to prepare expectant mothers for the birth of their babies. Volunteer may also choose to provide support to mothers during labor and delivery.

Child Loss Recovery Leader: Facilitates a class designed to care for those who have lost a child through pregnancy termination, miscarriage, still birth, and etc. This spiritual enrichment class offers healing and the opportunity to change the participants lives forever!

Client Follow-up Counselor: Contacts former clients to conduct post-partum follow-up, including risk assessments. Conducts assessments to determine if client needs other program services and/or referrals.

FUNDRAISING

Special Events Assistant: Assists staff fundraising events such as banquets, walk-a-thons, golf tournaments, auctions, baby bottle boomerang, garage sales, and etc. Duties may also include telephone correspondence, decorating, supplying refreshments, providing event registration assistance, and etc.

Grant Writer: Researches new funding opportunities and writes grant proposals for the organization.

PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT

Medical Staff Volunteer: Volunteer OB/GYN, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or other medical professional performs pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD testing, pap smears, pelvic exams, childbirth support, prenatal education, and etc. Also includes other medical professional volunteers in other areas of expertise.

Professional Support Volunteer: Assists clients with specific needs depending on area of expertise. This may include providing legal or financial advice or assistance, pastoral care, job counseling, automobile repair, plumbing, or any other special talent or service.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

GED Instructor: Teaches remedial education classes and General Educational Development test prep classes to out-of-school youth and adults.

GED Instructor Assistant: Helps GED Instructor teach remedial education classes, and General Educational Development test prep classes to out-of-school youth and adults. May also provide private tutorial sessions to students preparing to take the GED exam.

Career Development Advisor: Work with individuals, and sometimes with groups, to assist them in making wise career decisions. Advisors collect and assess client information about education, previous employment experience, skills, interests, and personal information. Must have a thorough understanding of the world of work and up-to-date information about trends that affect the employment outlook. Duties may also include contacting prospective employers for suitable job openings.

Basic Computing Instructor: Helps students build proficiency in personal computing skills to become marketable and excel in the workplace. Coursework may include establishing familiarity with desktop operating systems, the Internet, and Microsoft Office Suites.

YOUTH SERVICES

Abstinence Education Presenter: Teaches youth in local schools, churches, and organizations to abstain from sex until marriage. Also educates young people about sexually transmitted infections and diseases.

After School Enrichment Assistant: Provides tutoring in math, science, literacy, and other subjects. Also helps students prepare for standardized tests such as LEAP, ACT, and SAT exams.

Life Skills Trainer: Provides inspirational and educational workshops to youth on various topics pertaining to daily living.
