THE WOMEN’S HELP CENTER NEEDS A NEW HOME

At the North Baton Rouge Women’s Help Center, we are susceptible—like any other ministry—to getting caught up in the day to day of meeting the needs of our clients. That’s extremely important, to be sure. After all, it is why we are here.

But sometimes, the “day to day” can block our vision of what we want to be in one, five or ten years. And though we are excited about what the Lord is doing now, we want to continually improve.

First Stop
For instance, our goal is to one day be the first choice of any woman in our area who thinks she may be facing a crisis pregnancy. That’s a tall order, to be sure. But—with God—all things are possible aren’t they? Because we believe this, we dare to dream. We dream of meeting more needs than we can even fathom at this point. We also dream of a facility that will allow future growth. Sometimes, we even dream of a medical facility where we have full-time physicians and nurses. A long shot? Perhaps Impossible? Not with God!

When dreams come true
Dreams become reality when we put them on paper, pray through them and ask a simple question, “Lord, what do you want us to do in the future?” Well, His answer is still the same. A new home for the North Baton Rouge Women’s Help Center! This year’s banquet will kick off, once again, our Capital Campaign Drive to renovate 22,000 square feet of space into nearly 30,000 square feet of needed office space. You may remember that three years ago, our organization was blessed with the donation of property for a new facility. Our two story newly renovated space will consist of the following: the Women’s Help Center; a childcare center for our clients who participate in our literacy and other educational programs; a youth activity center for our after school programs, performing arts and fatherhood initiative activities; and other desperately needed office space and parking.

Dare to dream with us
